In Memory of Bert Wade
Our good friend Bert passed away peacefully in Jasper at Seton General Hospital on Friday, February 15, 2019.
Bert was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on July 11, 1930. He travelled the world before settling in Jasper in 1971, working as an operator with CN.
Bert continued to travel and was an avid hiker, skier and cyclist. He was passionate and meticulous about his model railroading in the CP steam era. His more recent travels took him to the Arctic several times and he loved every minute of it.
Bert will be missed by Wendy Colvin, his niece, his coffee klatsch, the museum, thrift shop and his many many friends.
Thank you to the all the staff at Seton Hospital, Home Care and Dr Slack, for all the wonderful care and attention given to Bert over the years.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives.
A gathering will be planned for the spring to share our memories.
